You might need the wellies tomorrow lads, latest on the grapevine is the course is under water in places. Have a good ride - keep JW upright this time.

Destined not to ride this - watch/alarm failure last week and puncture on way over today. Serves me right; I went via the Diglis footbridge in Worcester which had been totally submerged until a couple of days ago - I must have picked it up as I went through the sludge.
65 miles on my own in the sunshine, so at least I got a good ride in.
How was the ride?

It was a good ride, faster than last week as expected! Plenty of WFCRC riders there at the end. 54 miles in 2.29!

You should all be disqualified for exceeding the recommended maximum of 18mph for a reliability trial. I don't suppose any of you had a bell, saddlebag, and lights either!, what about mudguards (with reflector)? I think I will report you to Bobby Clamp

Funny you should mention mudguards as Phil Blacker suggested I should have mud guards on when riding with him. My response was he should be riding in front when I'm riding with him. All in the aid of the Wyre Forest front David. We battled all the way with some really top end riders but the power went down at the end. I think we had 4 riders in the top 8 also taking 1st and 2nd places. Pace was fast from the start, over 20mph. Nothing major really until Kinnersley where quite a few riders got shelled out the back, James Jenkins setting a fast pace and doing a shed load of work on the front. Then next challenge was Pensham Bank just after Pershore but we all got well placed for that one. The Darby then set the pace up around Bredon Hill, our training ground on a Saturday. It just seemed as soon as one Wyre Forest rider dropped back off the front another rolled up to have a go. It was frantic after Tewkesbury on the back lanes to Welland, some real fast riding on difficult surfaces. A group of about 8 riders broke once back into Malvern, myself, Shaun, Andy O and James Jenkins. That is 2 weeks on the row now that we have had a really good go, hopefully we can keep it up. I think we were actually back in a 2hrs28mins, magic
