Yep, good point. I deal with HGV road accidents every day. I have lost count of the amount of cyclists having a run-in with HGV's and loosing.
While there is still a lot to be done with drivers looking out for cyclists, there is a lot cyclists can do to stay out of trouble around HGV's.
Rule number one is: No matter what the circumstance, never ever move up the nearside (left) of a HGV... ever.

This is scary to say the least. Stay safe out there boys and girls!! I always pass an HGV on the O/S.........and always hang back if they are turning left!!!!!!! but being a HGV driver I always look out for our fellow cyclists...... ;D
