A win for Wyre Forest CRC on the Stourport circuit tonight, in spectacular style!
In the 4th cat race, an early break of 2 men got away, WFCRC rider Justin Walters bridged the gap alone over to them, then ramped the pace up. One of the guys couldn't hold it and dropped back leaving Justin and the other guy. Justin sprinted for the mid race prime and opened up a gap, he then got into time trial mode and pulled away for a clear solo victory!
First class stuff, in his first ever points scoring race (and only his second ever race) a solo win... That's the way to do it!

A great night mate, really enjoyed the win and even better when the WFCRC were hosting!!! I wanted to target the Prime at mid point and saw the opportunity to get away from the bunch when 2 guys had broken away for a couple of laps. Decided to bridge the gap on the downhill section opposite the start line and use the tail wind. took me 1 lap to bridge the 50 metres, had a quick chat with them, said we having a go at this and off we went. Think we dropped the 3rd rider who was not strong enough to do a turn, i even flicked the elbow a few times to bring the other guy to the front. Whistle went and down went the hammer and prime sprint in the bag thought should i sit up and wait for the other rider or keep going? thought i had nothing to lose and could use him later if i got tired so just kept going. Andy Webb said the 2nd place rider was calling me some names on the way round at the end because I was still putting some time on him. In total i think i held off the 2nd rider and the bunch for over 30 mins. I think everyone spectating said they thought i had gone too soon. Just kept going, a very cool way to win a race. Bye bye CAT4, now on to the harder stuff. Well done on your points Paul and Jamie rode a strong race. Very well done chaps, a good result night for the club All those miles, training and hard work are starting to pay off. Have a go at the 18mile TT tomorrow night now!!!

Cheers Jamie and Andy, I've had a good week. I'm going to go the opposite way to Mr Darby and say 'I'm feelin good at the moment'. Mmmmm, famous last words. But feeling worn out tonight so decided to have a night off the training, in truth I feel shattered after a somewhat hectic week. The legs were not 100% last night but threw the kitchen sink at it. It did not seem that fast to me but I have startled to concentrate more on maintaining a good speed and getting up the lumps faster. PB by a minute was the main result for me, got to keep chipping away at that time. Great photos Richard, I have had a quick look due to limited time. I think I will be updating my profile photo very soon. And yes Paul, I think we both did our fair share of suffering on Tuesday night

Don't try to tell me riding everyone off your wheel and going solo for half an hour, then winning with ease is suffering... If I were there to see it I bet you were just spinning round eating a sandwich, having a little yawn, dreaming about the TT bike you want to buy, looking for the next 30mph sign, thinking about the fact that shaving your legs was a good idea after all, thinking about how many strava sections you can create going round different sections of the track, all this without any effort at all !!! (Good ride by the way.... great win !)

Well done to everyone who rode on Tuesday night it was really good fun to watch. A special well done to Justin, what a man, you must be over the moon with that one. Then a win on Wednesday night as well, what a week, well done mate. God bless the turbo and the rollers.

Yes mate, bless that static Turbo and all that ride upon her. I don't mind the rollers but they are not safe for me due to drifting off and then ending up with the bike on top of me. The warm-up wheels (my rollers) will be travelling with me to France as I can just pop on the for a few early or late miles. Might be mega miles while I'm out of the WFCRC picture for a few weeks. Va-Va-Voom!!!
