Hi All,
I have a guy I work with who is coming over to join me on a ride out to Clee hill at the end of the summer (end of August or beginning of September). I'm just curious if there are any other members who would like to join us to make it a club ride. I will say in advance, it will be a slow ride, average 12-14mph and the route actually up the clee will be from Crumpbrook direction which gives a milder climb than Hopton Bank, Total loop will be approx 40 miles.
Anyone who has ridden with me will know I don't do very well on hills, but I do like to give them a go, I just tend to flatten them out a little if possible. I will post a link to the route I am intending to use.

A date has been set for this ride.
It will be 08-09-2013, the start time will be 10.30 from SSC, workmate can't make it before that time.
A link to the route will be below posted very soon (approx 40 miles).
All are welcome to join in, the average speed will be around 12-14mph so we are in no hurry.
It is weather dependant, so if weather is crap I will rearrange for a different date.

Hope you get a good turnout for the ride. Some of the quicker guys in the club could join in and try a nice relaxing social run. You will probably need a whistle and something like a tazer or electric cattle prod to calm down anyone who gets overly excited. I will not be able to join you unfortunately as it will only be a couple of weeks after the heart op I had 2 days ago, which has made a huge difference to how I feel already by the way, but will keep fingers crossed you all have a great day and sunny too.

DavidP It would be nice to have some of the faster guys join for a slow ride and enjoy the scenery at a more sedate speed. Great news about your health improvements Nigel I am not sure if the cafe will be open but there are a few shops up there. Route Plan

Hopefully work should allow me to turn up to this! (a scenario im feeling optimistic about) anyway hopefully i should be able to come along, if anyone is wanting to do a cafe stop there is a couple of decent cafes in tenbury or if you dont mind doing an extra 5 miles or so theres some nice cafes in ludlow! got to have that all important chocolate cake wouldn't be a club run without it
