Ladies, do you wave your husband off on his bike on a Saturday or Sunday morning and wonder what he really gets from riding his bike? Well stop wondering and find out for yourself.
British Cycling want to inspire women to cycle and are hosting coaching sessions for novice women and girls over 12 years at Stourport Cycle Track. These sessions are being held on Sunday mornings and the 1st will be on the 19th January starting at 9.30am till 11.30, signing on will be from 9.15am, these sessions will run for 6 weeks every other Sunday.
The sessions will be progressive coaching sessions to improve rider ability and confidence on the bike and this will be tailored to individual rider needs and to the group. Throughout the weeks there will be discussions about kit, bike maintenance and other subjects that will support the coaching you receive.
Riders will need a bike with 2 working brakes, gears, a helmet and enthusiasm.
The sessions are open to all riders, including cycle club members and non club members however if you are a British Cycling member the sessions will be £4 and £6 for non British Cycling members.
If you would like to attend please contact either Louise Day – British Cycling direct on either 07534 281 265 or louiseday@britishcycling.org.uk or on the website www.britishcycling.org.uk/events/details/103966/Rider-Development-Session---Women-and-Girls-Only#summary
Alternatively, let me know if you are interested via the Forum and I will pass on your details to Louise Day.
This invite is especially to all the WFCRC female family members or wives of WFCRC members who do not cycle and should .
Ladies, one final thing - I no longer wave my husband off – I join him!
