Well we are going to do it and for charity, the Knights of Sufferlandria, 10 back to back training DVD's totalling over 10hrs of riding with only 10mins break between each. Check out the link below, so far we have the following having a go; Jamie Jenkins Justin Walters Anybody else want to give it a go with us, only 55 people have ever completed this great feat. We don't want to suffer on our own so need people to turn up through the day and share the suffering www.thesufferfest.com/about-sufferfest/knights-of-sufferlandria/

Hi Justin, just done the Liege-Bastogne-Liege DVD, if you do these accurately its going to be very tough. The LBL dvd was either recovery at below 55% FTP or power zone 4, 5, or 6 and that's the first 1hr 40. Might pop in and do a couple with you, but I aint doing all 10. You need stronger medication, call the nurse.

No chance!
I have ridden a bike for 10 hours in one day before, that was on a gloriously warm day in California, with climbs, descents, over the Golden Gate Bridge, a lunch break etc, never again, especially on a turbo.
It's also around the same time as the Bill Jinks RR, I may join you for a DVD and a coffee (.....cake).

Right ladies and gentlemen, this is now a set date and the Suffering will go ahead so watch this space. We really need everyone to help us out with this one, all through the day. The unfitter you are the better, it good to see some one suffer more to take our minds off it. We are even asking people who don't even ride to come along, grovelling is the order of the day. James has 16 turbos at his place so we need to fill as many as possible. Watch this post for developments on this day of suffering and remember there is always some one suffering more than you!!!

Well after messaging the guy who started The Sufferfest to let him know we are doing the challenge he has now decided it is about time he proved he is man enough to do it himself. David McQuillen founder of The Sufferfest will attempt the 10 videos back to back this Thursday at the Tour Down Under Expo, If you would like to see what it is all about you can see his Live progress at the google hangout at tinyurl.com/ldnxf4wAlso more info can be seen here action.worldbicyclerelief.org/page/outreach/view/individual/TheSufferfest

Due to competition commitments and the fact that time is ticking on rather rapidly myself and Jamie Jenkins have now moved the date of the Sufferfest to Saturday 5th April, 2014. Please keep an eye out for a club email circular you will receive with details of this epic and rather crazy day The format for the day is starting at 0700, we are required to do 10 training videos with only 10 mins rest max between each. We will have 12 turbos set up at Jamie's place for people to drop in through the day to help us with the suffering. We will be inviting riders from the Wyre Forest, St.Johns, VCSevale and any other cyclist that is a little crazy.

Just want to thank everyone for the help and support that was given to me and Jamie yesterday on the Sufferfest Knights of Sufferlandria challenge. We managed to raise just under £285.00 with a few more pledges promised so should top the £300+ mark.
We have both sent off our data files to Sufferfest to be looked over, hopefully we have done what is required to enter the knights. Fingers crosses, I know one thing for sure, we most certainly suffered big time. I think anything else we do is a molehill compared to yesterday, climb, TT can't be a patch on that little lot. Our mileage was;
Jamie - just over 250 miles Justin - 238 miles
Estimated Calorie burn for the event alone was approx 10,000 calories;)
I think it was that painful I would not do it again, loose the intervals and maybe a group effort for the next event might be a goer???
We will have to wait and see;)
Thanks again gang!
