Been looking on the CTT website at published dates for 2014. I will be riding the Beacon RC Mountain TT again, would be great to get as many of the club in this as possible as it is on our doorstep. (starts Gt Witley) A bit nearer the start of the season we can put a dedicated thread for races entered so that we all know what we are doing, but for now I have put together some races leading up to the event that I should be doing. My van takes 3 riders and bikes as does Justins.
15/03 Stourbridge velo K21/11 22 mile 23/03 Royal Dean Forest R25/7 25 mile
29/03 V C Sevale K46/10 10 mile
06/04 Realteam.co.uk R25/3L 25 mile
13/04 Wychwood RC H36/18 36 mile
19/04 Warwick RC K33/10D 10 mile
27/04 Beacon RC mountain TT 39 mile

Yep, good idea to keep a track of the open TTs planned. I will definitely ride a 10 on the K33 to compare years gone by, I may join you on the R25 as that's a fast 25 course.

I'd appreciate some local knowledge on fast-ish courses. Given that racing knocks out a good part of a weekend day and I only have so many I can burn, I'd like to target reasonable courses and be a little selective and maybe even taper for the odd one or two. I'll keep the sporting courses for Tuesdays (Sevale), Wednesdays (of course) and Thursdays (St Johns).
So convenient of Sevale and St Johns to start many of their TTs 1/2 mile from where I work!

The fastest locally Is the K33 on the A46 near Evesham. There are 10s and 25s run on this course, the 10 can be fast if there is a south westerly wind as the return leg is longer than the out leg.
The R25 is in south Wales, it is a super fast 25 course because the finish is significantly lower down the valley than the start.

While on the subject of TTs have a think about getting a team or two together for the 3-up National Team Time Trial Champs on June 1 on the R30/2C. Entries close early, May 6.

The K33/10S is rarely used now and has been replaced by the K33/10D. This starts on the B4088 Redditch-Evesham road just south of Dunnington x-roads then goes on to Norton roundabout where you take the first exit (3.6 miles), continue through Salford Priors to the roundabout where again you take the first exit onto the A46(6.9 miles). Continue along the A46 to south Alcester (Little Chef)roundabout and take first exist (straight on) to finish. After finishing take the first exit at the next roundabout to return to HQ which is usually at Salford Priors but has also been at Arrow village hall.
