Justin: How did you get on last night? I didn't see the finish but you were looking well placed and pretty comfortable (given the circumstances!!) when I was watching.

Well first BC track race for me last night with the CAT4, good experience and felt really good. Thank you to all the WFCRC members who took the time with loads of advice, really helped so many thanks again Anyway raced well and kept up with the bunch maintaining top 10 places to stay out of trouble. Took the 2 corners tight and was easily making a couple of places up on each corner. Carried the speed out so did not get out of the saddle to keep up and due to the speed actually put me on the front a few times. Final lap and coming down the hill opposite the Start/Finish line I was 3rd but made the fatal error of pulling out in the Northerly wide and ran out of beans. Should have stayed on the leadout wheel and saved myself for the final sprint. But came in 11th but could have been a lot better if I had not made that novice mistake, would have been great to pick up a few BC points. Anyway thanks again to everyone, looking forward to the session of track racing. Should be good fun

How did you get on Jack? When I left there was a 4 man breakaway ut not sure what happened when they went past me there was some very strong language? Went great mate for a first race, bossed the 2 corners on the inside. Non of the CAT4 dare use it as i was flying out of it and gaining places. Little mistake at the end into that Northerly on the last lap cost me my sprint at the end but Im happy overall. Thanks Jack for running around the course for a few laps before I started, it really helped Will be better prepared next time, could do with the guys controlling the race to be a bit more coming with the final 5 lap info! Looking forward to next week now

Good result for a first race mate! With a little experience you'll be right up there That 4 man break was reduced to 2 but stayed away until the end. One sat up because of the argument that was going on and another was disqualified. Had a few attempts at bridging to it but all unsuccessful. James Jenkins put in some absolutely massive turns on the front with a couple of laps to go and I owe him big time for the work he did last night!! I was at the front into the last hairpin but lost a couple of places into the final corner. Held on for 5th in the sprint unable to out gun Phil Blacker and one other!

Yes, they were going for it when they went past me!!! Great result mate, sounds like Jamie worked hard as well:P You are right, the experience will come. Bit like my first TT really, just taking it all in and enjoying it. Felt comfortable and able to respond to the turn of speed in the saddle when other riders were out. Sure I will get up there as the session goes on. Better to hang around with the CAT4 for a bit before moving up I think Sonds like the club had a good night all around on the track, well done to everyone. Think it is the WFCRC hosting next week? Need aa good club turnout for that

I'll be there, need to get my legs back up to speed after a poor month of illness, too few hours on the bike and general dross!
Forecast is very good for 19:00 on Tuesday, 16 deg C, 10 mph easterly and dry.
If the race is run anti-clockwise thats a headwind sprint uphill to the line!
