Yep, should be there along with Gary and my bro Paul. Did it last year and it was a good ride, that Hollybush? climb was a bit nasty mind!

I'm undecided between Malvern or Stourbridge at the moment What's everyone else doing? It would be good to see Wyre Forest turn up in force

Hadn't realised Stourbridge was on the same day - undecided now!

If in doubt, which one has the best cake?

Seem to remember Malvern had a very good cake selection - never done the Stourbridge one so can't comment!

Definitely Malvern for me.
Spoke to Andy Overton today and he is doing Malvern as well. Although having said that we both have sore throats and headaches lurking I the background, so our excuses for pulling out early and eating cakes and coffee are well prepared!

Malvern for me too, can't get excited over the Stourbridge route - too familiar!

The Stourbridge route was far far lumpier than I expected! Myself and James finished in the first group that had been whittled down to just 8 riders by the end. 20mph average, which considering how steep some of the climbs were I'm pretty happy with! How did everyone get on in Malvern?

There were about 50 of us in the fast group, so we were set off in 2 separate groups a few minutes apart, but we all got back together after about 20 miles before the first climb over Malvern. There were some fast boys there, a number from NFTO, Malvern Cyclesport as well as a few elite/1st cats including pro GB Olympic rider Liam Killeen.
It thinned down to about 10 of us and I managed to hold on with them until just coming over the top of the last climb up Malvern from Colwall, a small gap opened up after the 2nd hairpin and I just couldn't get back on to them for the last 3 miles back to the HQ!
I came in 2 minutes behind the first few guys, but I was quite happy with that! There were no other Wyre Forest riders in the front group, Dave Brown was with us before the first climb of Malvern, but stopped to help his mate with a puncture.

When I stopped for Gary who punctured after about 24 miles (and I knew wasn't carrying a spare tube - don't ask!) my average was 20.6mph. Despite taking over 10mins (CO2 didn't work - don't ask!) the next group still never caught us so a sizable gap must have been built. To be honest I was almost relieved when he flatted as I was busting for a pee!! ;D
