Congratulations to Steve Vanes 19.44, is this the fastest 10 time for a WFCRC rider ever? Would be interesting to know the fastest times set by WFCRC riders over standard distances.

Dave Barnes probably holds/held the club '10' record but I don't think he ever went under 20mins. Get the club sec to go through the Minutes, it should be in there. Congratulations anyway Steve, great ride.

Great ride by Steve ! I rode the R25 today and did a 53.53, but I am sure there is a faster 25 by a club member!

Fab ride Andy. Got to say the mighty WFCRC are posting brilliant times. Be great to find out the best ever WFCRC times, it would give something for the testers to aim for.

You are far too modest Jon H, if I remember rightly you rode a 52mins on the R25 at the end of the season last year with a very good result in the overflow. More impressive was the fact that you rode also the K11/10 on the previous day with me, a good weekends racing that was.

Looking back in the old RTTC/CTT Handbooks, in 1981 Greg Kinsell(WFCRC)won a 50 in 1hr 47min 51, a 100 in 3-55-31 and covered 267.31 miles in 12 hours. The following year he lowered the 100 to 3-51-28. These times were all winning rides so there may have been faster performances when when not winning.
Greg left the club in 1983 and joined the Omega CC where he lowered his 100 to 3-49-19.
At the shorter distances Greg 'only' managed a 53min 25 and a long very 20 for ten miles.

Get the club sec to go through the Minutes, it should be in there. You must be joking!!!! Last January I went through all of the minutes from the club committee since the late 1980's, and sorted it out into 7 full lever arch files. It took me ages to even get an idea how many club members we have had over the years, let alone detail such as individual TT times! (Let's just say that the minutes didn't always give in-depth information) Anyone is welcome to borrow all of the paperwork if they have a few days spare to read the minutes! (and if anyone has that sort of time spare the question has to be... why aren't you out on your bike!?)
