We are pleased to announce that WFCRC members will again be able to receive free British Cycling coaching as part of their membership during the winter/spring of 2015/16.
The coaching will start again on Thursday 1st October and run every Thursday for 19 weeks on the circuit at Stourport Sports Club, under the floodlights. The actual dates are an 11 week stint starting on 1st Oct with the last session on 10th December then we will pick it back up on 7th January for 8 weeks finishing on February 25th.
It will be free to WFCRC members on production of their membership card. Non-WFCRC members will pay £3.00 per session. Only British Cycling members can take part, BC membership cards must be produced. (This is a condition of British Cycling funding the provision of their qualified, experienced coaches)
The coaching will be a 2 hour session from 19:00 until 21:00. It starts at 19:00, sign on at 18:45.
The coaching is aimed at riders who want to race or currently race. It is not an 'easy' ride around chatting session, it is exactly what many of our senior riders and youth A/B racers want, a structured coached training session. Obviously, being run over the entire winter and early spring it is highly likely that the occasional session will be affected by the weather. Any changes to the planned sessions will be announced here on the forum and our twitter feed.
If you have any queries please feel free to contact me at paul@peopleton.net or Nick Yarworth from British Cycling at nickyarworth@britishcycling.org.uk or on 07834 680303.
