A number of our people have suggested ways of making rides easier to organise amongst our members. Whilst this forum is clearly very busy, it is true that many members (except me!) spend time on Facebook, and that should be used to help the clubs activities. In response, we have now created a new public group for Wyre Forest Cycle racing Club on Facebook where anybody can post information, discussion, photos etc. The link to the new page is shown below. www.facebook.com/groups/WyreForestCycleRacingClub/We are still setting up the structure, admins, content and layout so please bear with us!

That's interesting, we have set it up so anybody can join, there are no administrators for the group as its open public access.
I am no expert on Facebook as I rarely use it, I only access it it to set the club stuff up, I'll have a look at the access rights on the page and see what I find.

OK, I can see how it works now.
Any current member can approve or invite other members. So we have got to the 60+ members of the group through invites or the existing members approving requests. (Which is why there is no admin input needed)
I have made Keith Lawrence, Lucy Walters and Ian Bunch admins for the club group page now so they can keep an eye on it as well, along with approving member requests.
We are going to keep it an open public group to encourage involvement, we just need to monitor advertisers, spam and spurious content which we can block as necessary.
Thanks for letting us know that there was a technical issue to allowing members in!
