I quite fancy the idea of trying some of the summer race series, could you give me some more info about them please? I'm not sure what category or age group I would be in.... I am 47 years old and a regular cyclist, but have never raced on the track.
Thanks

Hi Amanda, do you mean the Tuesday evening circuit race series at Stourport or our Wednesday evening time trial series? If you are referring to the Tuesday night races I think Ben's advice is a great start. Head down to Stourport Circuit on a Friday night and see how you get on riding around the circuit at speed. If you then decide to race in the women's event on a Tuesday full details are here www.wfcrc.co.uk/page.php?page=scssIf you want to ride our Wednesday TT's, full details and the 2016 calendar is here www.wfcrc.co.uk/page.php?page=ttHope that helps, let me know if there is anything else that you need.

just turn up around 7-50pm to sign on, and have a briefing of track etiquette etc etc , just bring a roadworthy bike and a helmet if members of WFCRC £1 or £3 if not a member. quite a few Ladies turn up so you wont be on your own, and riders of all abilities too.

Hi Amanda I would definitely recommend the senior coaching sessions on a Friday evening. Thanks to the Friday evening sessions, I gained enough confidence at group riding to have ago at circuit racing. So far I've entered and finished 5 races to date and only need 4 more points on my race licence to move up to a Cat 3. To race you will need a race licence, although you can get a day licence and you start as a 4th Cat. All ages are mixed together unless you race at LVRC events. I'll be at the senior coaching session on Friday 24th June. If I can be of anymore help, drop me a line. Vicki

Scotty
Next round of the Inter Club TT is the WSJCC event tomorrow Tuesday 7th. Take a look at the last post on the Time Trial board on the forum for details.

Thanks for the replies. I've navigated the Website dates and the midland dc page for club events. It's says on the Midland do that the Ryelands 10 is on tomorrow but nothing on the wyre web site?

The Midlands DC page is incorrect, the link I posted earlier showing our calendar is correct.
