Hi all After the AGM I thought I'd clarify what we've been doing on a Sunday morning. Each week (when I've been available) at 09:30 I have been leading what we've called the Sunday Youth ride. There have been several youth riders take part along with a number of adults. As with most leisure rides attendance is sporadic but there are regulars. The basic routes are around 20 miles (35km) at around 13-15mph average. When there are stronger riders present we have upped the pace and/or distance. This is decided on the day and is dependent on who turns up. The rides are scheduled to continue all year, obviously weather dependent. We ride to give the youth some experience of road riding and riding safely in a group and there is always at least one adult in attendance. We have a number of routes we ride plus some we make up on the day but clearly we can't plan to please any rider that may turn up. We try to keep choices as democratic as possible. Feel free to join in and help, hopefully the group will get fast enough to join in with the faster group which leaves at the same time.

There will also be a 9.30 slightly quicker cafe ride for anyone interested leaving at the same time. It is typically 50-60 miles depending on weather and numbers. I am not at cyclocross this week due to family duties in the afternoon so will be there and there is usually a few other club riders. All welcome!

Yes there has been a Wyre Forest CRC club run from Stourport Sports Club at 09.30 every Sunday for the past decade. In recent years we have included members from Severn Valley Velo, there's usually 1 or 2 of them who ride with us. The pace is steady and the distance 45 to 60mls with a good cafe stop inc. When we have been joined by anyone who is looking for a shorter ride because of time or fitness constraints they have enjoyed the group riding until they wish to turn for home, at which point they let us know of course! The aim of club runs is always for a good social ride, training is for other days.
