Well just checked the weather and a little too far away yet to rely on but it may get up to 6 degrees on Monday. Summer has arrived will be a early start, I'm doing the 160km with a friend and Lucy is doing the 55 or 100km

I will call this the 'Sportive that never stopped giving'!!! Well mate, I bust my B**** on that one. Nobody told me that the Alps started in bloody Cirencester, with all the little bits of climbs etc and then 1 x Cat 3 climbs/ 12x Cat 4 climbs. Something like 2500 metres of climbing, I will be climbing the bedroom wall in my sleep ;D Anyway I suffered and it was good. Well organised, 600 riders, a lot of unfit people expelling a lot of hot air. Started out at about 0830, that Easterly just kept getting stronger but what hurts makes you stronger. Completed in 6hrs 15mins with a couple of feed stations as well. Could have done with that 12-27 rear cassette on today really but I kept it going. If you like general crazy climbs this is a must for your calander next year. Those hills around Cirencester really are something. A very tough one, everyone saying its one of the hardest ones they have done it the UK. But happy with my time, 16.2mph average. It's been a hard Easter weekend for the miles, about 330 the last 5 days. Over 1350 for March. And loved every one of them. Have a day off tomorrow I think.

Just checked the times and I came in 4th on the 160km route. Really pleased with that considering the amount of climbing that needed to be done ;D
