It is the club’s Annual General Meeting 2016 at Stourport Sports Club on Monday 7th November starting at 19:00.
It is extremely important that we get as many members as possible there on the night. This year to entice you even more, there will be a free buffet again!! (Surely, free food for cyclists must be a go idea!).We will have all the current stock kit and casual clothing to be purchased on the night. Also you will be able to renew your 2017 membership at the 2016 membership price, which will avoid any potential changes that may be introduced for 2017.
The club is currently in better shape than at any time in its history with almost 250 members, continuing to grow and offer more activities, events and discounts to its members. We are already planning even more for next year, including increased benefits for members and have some great news to announce about our road racing plans for 2017! I really think we can take the club to over 300 members in the future by carrying on with the approach we are taking now. (This time last year we had just over 150 members and we were hoping to reach 200!)
At this AGM a number of improvements and changes to how the club is run and administered will be discussed, we really want everybody’s view and opinion on the ideas that will be proposed.
There is no secret to how the club is run. We are a small, open committee of volunteers that do our best to pull it together.
However, we really want every role on the committee filled by a different person, to reduce shared roles and get more club members involved with how the club is run to drive it forwards and grow into the future. Please don't think that by coming to the AGM you are likely to have a committee role thrust on you! That's not how it works, but we always welcome more members and fresh ideas.
I look forward to seeing you on Monday 7th November, and if you think you may be interested in joining the WFCRC committee and would like to have a chat about it before the AGM, please feel free to contact me at paul@peopleton.net
(Don’t forget its our Annual do and awards night on Saturday 19th November at Stourport Sports Club, which is taking a completely new approach than previous awards dinners. I will send an email about that separately, read more on the club news front page here www.wfcrc.co.uk/ )
