Fear not, Clifton Bank was fine, perfectly happy with my climb up there... Strava won't lie!
I was feeling OK today, that cold finally seems to be clearing. I have also started to suss Justin's sprints (combined with the fact that sprinting every time I ride is bound to bring it on a bit!)
Every ride at the moment is either at time trial pace or full of sprints, if this isn't making me faster nothing will!
Good ride today, plenty of pace, great weather, some good sprints and the beauty of Clifton Bank.

What's to work out with my sprints? My legs go around faster or there's a few more Watts coming off my shoes? Bet there was more suffering this afternoon than this morning for you Paul? How much for a cutlery tray! Excellent ride with a bit of everything thrown in, no I need to revise that. A LOT of everything thrown in

Lovely ride. Must have been good as I fell asleep this afternoon on the sofa with a half a mug of tea going cold.
Did I actually pip you on that one sprint early doors before Holt Heath Justin? Had to wait for a sign after a nice rise. You'll have spotted that I didn't feature again. Shot my only bolt.

Yep Andy, that one was yours. I think you took me by shock as its normally Paul galloping along side me Yes the lone breakaway sprint Jason but did Paul not tell you the rules.....it's the first sprint of the day as he normally gets it in while everyone is still asleep in the bunch or just getting warmed up God speed coming back, did not want the 'General' running late for shelling out on that kitchen!!!

Yes, it appears that kitchens are fairly expensive!
There was a lot less pain giving it some onions up Clifton Bank!

Sounds like it was a good ride.... Pearl Lane at Pace at around 7.15 am was very character building !! But good practice, we rolled to the start then added a little on the end to loosen up. That made it 28 miles, still averaged over 20mph for the whole ride. Next weekend its the Beacon Hilly for me !!

We'll have a ride out to watch, we may try and time it so we get to Ankerdine to watch you suffer, sorry I mean climb it with ease!
What time are you off?

My start time is 9.47am.... maybe an hour and a half to the base of Ankerdine... so you would be looking at around 11.20ish ?? I will be so pleased to see you on the hill (not!) I am sure you will give me some form of encouragement !!!

I'll be out Sunday.
Anyone fancy riding the upcoming TT course then over to top of Ankerdine to watch Andy?

Just looked at the Beacon TT course and we may be in the way of riders if we hog the road following the club TT course.

Should be a good morning. We'll ride out to the top of Ankerdine from the Martley direction, then we can decide where we go from there, that should keep us off the course a bit.
If we do end up on the circuit, as long as we stay in single file it'll be fine. There will be plenty of regular cyclists out riding tomorrow who have no idea the TT is on. As well as horse riders, walkers, tractors etc, I'm sure we'll be the last of their problems!
Plus I'd like to get some miles in, I don't really want to stand watching for hours.

Yep, I'd like miles too. Have to maximise time out.

Miles, miles, miles!!! No problem on that one, the more miles we do the more speed signs there are
