It appears the southern division may be revving back up... We had our first ride yesterday joining the new members who have come over from the ex-GBC Team. There was a great turn out with from both the original WFCRC Southern Division plus the Sunday morning GBC riders. Our aim is to continue this every Sunday morning as the season gets closer. Any WFCRC member is welcome to join, however this is a training ride, not a 'cafe and cake' ride (much to my disappointment). The aim is to get some good steady miles in at 18/19mph for around 50 miles. There will be some climbing and sprinting for the 30 limit signs, whilst we will re-group after climbs and sprints, we won't always wait if someone gets dropped due to the pace. The aim is to build up speed and distance for those who race. If you are not sure whether to come along, my advice is give it a try. If you get dropped come back next week and hold on for longer, then keep doing that until you stay with the group all of the way. Remember 18/19mph in a group is easier than holding that sort of speed solo.
