Wahaaa.............. you guys kill me. Have to find a Aussie to man-handle me and shave the coat off the legs might have to get the blow torch out, they might be a bit like Desperate Dan's legs. But I'm happy with Wednesday nights spin, much more than Ryeland land where I did not give it enough beans

Nice one Dave, just got the 'PLF'!!! Kept looking at it but got it in the end. I will temper that when the legs don't seem to be going fast enough next time

Some good times recorded last night, conditions stayed dry with light winds.

Great time Dave, really showed us all how it is done Now, now Andy, you only need one helmet Coupled with the carpet removed, carbon wheels with Tubs it went really well. I fact I really enjoyed it, found that sitting forward on the seat really helps me keep the power on. Watched Richie Porte a few weeks ago on the end of his seat so thought I would give it a try. Thanks for the advice about getting up on the pedals as well mate, did the trick I have a problem now hat the track starts next Tuesday and TT's. Have to see how it goes

I think you will be good on the track.... once you have mastered the bends, you should be really strong! You just need to drag Paul round !!

We could be 'Hitlers Henchmen'!!! He does like a good lead out and the Strava spoilers can't seem to crack those sections when we team up

Yes Dave, I think he key to getting stronger and faster is the Turbo. I did about 8hrs on my Wattbike last week, maybe about 6 this week. Certainly good for developing the lower muscles to power over those small rises in the road. I think it is a art to ignore the sun is shining and go out on the road some days. A lot of the time when on my own is a option I prefer the Turbo, it's like my own little coach, tells me how well I'm doing and how I'm feeling I did go out on the Sunday training ride last Sunday for 2hrs35mins then put in a hour on the Wattbike pushing 3.14watts per KG for that hour. All good stuff! Going to try and start to slowly increase my Threshold now, I'm going on at about 170/171 at the moment

After the momentous shearing of Justin and the significant (non-marginal) gain in his TT PB I was wondering where his search for extra seconds could go to next.
Came across this from legendary Lotus bike man Mike Burrows detailing specific hair shaving patterns -
"If you've got a little bit of hair on your legs it will turbulate [sic] the air so you get a better flow. Now this in itself creates friction, so you don't want all your leg hairy you just want two thin strips, each about 10mm wide, just before the sides of your legs – though you will look really stupid.
You need the turbulent boundary layer – provided by these strips of hair - to get the air around the corner, and you need a smooth layer for it to flow over. But the leg is such a rubbish shape that ideally you want an aerofoil on the back of your leg"

Oh why, oh why didn't we know that before Justin shaved his legs, I would have paid good money to see Justin turn up at the TT with 2 strips of hair down the side of each leg!
