I think I'd put some grease on that tongue Bet it hurts if you lick too far back and get tapped in the brakes. I now know why you are so slick with that lubed up front ;D Best of luck.

I was poorly on Sunday 7th and couldn't do the B club run. I might be ok to do this Sunday if I'm reasonable and weather is ok, but if I am much better then I will riding the Staffordshire Oatcake RR - for a while at least! If any new folk turn up for the B ride can members look after them if possible - they will need cake.

Ok, I am still wheezing and coughing for England so no race Sunday but will do an easy club ride weather permiting. I'm thinking a nice run out to Leigh Sinton to see the Percy Stallard vets races as Ken Bradbury is riding, off to the event HQ to eat all the cake before the riders get back, then sneak home all innocent and happy - is that good or what? ;D

Club ride today was great, Scorpianuk came for his first club ride (sorry I didn't get your name, I'm always too stupid to ask). We were led out by DaveP, Mark and another ( sorry again haven't got your name yet again too stupid to ask ). How they managed to ride at my speed I have no idea, but they managed. It ended up being my longest ride to date and hovering around threshold for something like 70% of the time, as my fitness improves I will get faster. I would call it a 'C' and a half as it was faster than my previous 'C' rides but not 'B' speed, my average was 14.4mph. Thanks DaveP and the other two for setting pace and reigning in their power so I could manage to stay with them.

Club Ride today was great fun, There were four of us, Oliver (a nice person I have not met before), Nigel, Adam and myself. We headed out with a general direction in mind, but with the intention of making random turns to see where we ended up. Stopped for a break (coffee and cake) half way between Bromsgrove and Kidderminster. Total mileage was around 30 - 37 miles depending where various people peeled during the home run, with an average of around 15mph. Something I did realise today is, I don't feel the need for the 11/32 rear cassette and I found the wide spacing between the gears to be a hinderance (one gear too hard, the next gear too easy, so it's coming off and the original 12/27 is going back on.

As it's winter time I shall be meeting at SSC 09.30 on Sunday for the club run. Steady pace, café stop, it's not a training ride, it's social. I hope some can join me, first one 10th November.

Hi Dave hope some others joined up with you and that you had a good ride. I think it's a good thing that members can choose between two different rides. Nice one!!

Keen David, just very, very keen And they do let us out sometimes, normally on weekends Great job on the steady club runs chaps, let's keep these ticking over every week weather permitting. Spring is not so far away
