Yes there is normally a ride from the club house at 09.30am on Sundays. I was racing yesterday but should be doing the club run on the 19th.

I have had a number of members and prospective new members ask about the Sunday Club run.
There is a ride out from Stourport Sports Club at 09:30 on a Sunday morning, the route is generally decided on the day.
If you are wondering if anybody is out, or want to lead the ride, any member can post on here or our Facebook page to get it rolling. Leading a ride is not difficult, just pick a destination (that usually serves coffee and cake!) and ride out as a group, drink coffee then ride back as a group!
Feel free to contact me if you have any queries.

Hi all After the AGM I thought I'd clarify what we've been doing on a Sunday morning. Each week (when I've been available) at 09:30 I have been leading what we've called the Sunday Youth ride. There have been several youth riders take part along with a number of adults. As with most leisure rides attendance is sporadic but there are regulars. The basic routes are around 20 miles (35km) at around 13-15mph average. When there are stronger riders present we have upped the pace and/or distance. This is decided on the day and is dependent on who turns up. The rides are scheduled to continue all year, obviously weather dependent. We ride to give the youth some experience of road riding and riding safely in a group and there is always at least one adult in attendance. We have a number of routes we ride plus some we make up on the day but clearly we can't plan to please any rider that may turn up. We try to keep choices as democratic as possible. Feel free to join in and help, hopefully the group will get fast enough to join in with the faster group which leaves at the same time. Well done Ian!

There will also be a 9.30 cafe ride for anyone interested leaving at the same time. It is typically 50-60 miles depending on weather and numbers. I am not at cyclocross this week due to family duties in the afternoon so will be there and there is usually a few other club riders. All welcome!
