A fast (ish) group meets at the Stourport Sports Club at 09:00 for a 2 to 3 hour ride at approx 17 - 18mph. Although not as regular as the southern division fast group, the best way to get the ride organised is through this forum.
The aim of the ride is more around training than looking at the scenery, it's sociable but the aim is keep the pace up, there may be bit of sprinting for the speed limit signs and on the hills a bit of pain being dished out! We generally regroup at the top of climbs and after the sprints.
Please post here to see who is out, or if you want to join the ride post a message to check people are planning to be there, particularly if the weather is poor.

Great ride today in the sunshine, (except for my wasp incident, see General Discussion thread). Plenty of banter, great route and a good pace.
I am really pleased that Dave and Jason are so happy together, they make a lovely couple. I love a good wedding.

Great ride this morning really good turnout.
I know cyclists are always trying to make their bikes lighter to make the climbs easier but I thought Dave Hemming removing his saddle was taking it a bit too far!!!!
By the way everyone the wedding gift list shall be posted as soon as a date is confirmed.
Hope the throat gets better soon Paul, I think gargling TCP could be good.

This Sundays club run will start from SSC at 09.00 heading to the Craycoombe café, Fladbury via Droitwich. We shall return to SSC via Worcester. The exact route is open to negotiation on the day. Hoping to see another good turnout. All welcome.

That could work out well for me, its 2 miles from my house. I reckon you'll be there for about 10:15, so I can leave my house just after 10:00, amble down, have a massive slice of cake, then ride the 2 miles back.
Thats what you call a club run!

I'm back tomorrow night from the land of bloody climbing, 2 weeks of either going up 10-15% climbs or down them. I'm looking forward to a bit of flat stuff, 1000 metres the up stuff every day has made me light headed. Malvern hills, Stamford bank, Clifton bank, not a problem. Been a great holiday, 25-30 degrees. Sunshine most days, too much desert??? But fear not because I have been using the 'Big Dippers' for interval training, the HR has been flying The legs have been singing, I have rode for 11 days in the big ring only, it was a bit of a challenge one of the holiday guides put my way, he lasted one day ? You riding over Mr Darby??? What time you heading off Andy O from your place??? Can't wait to get back on my own bikes, the Trek bike has been good here if a little big on the front end, bars are massive. Road surfaces as course here, they must cover them in large gravel to stop them melting. Have made sure I have made a mess of the Strava Sections over here, a bit of Minibus chasing as well Anyway Sunday morning all being well.

You riding over Mr Darby??? Yes that's my plan at the moment, ride over, then head back this direction to the cake stop, feed my face, then home. Andy was aiming to leave his place just after 0800, which means leaving my place at 0730... which doesn't sound very appealing at the moment!
