Yep, great ride, no major ice issues and good weather (if not a little nippy to begin with!)

Glad to hear there were no clatters or problems on Sunday's reliability. If anyone else is entered for the Beacon Snowdrop or Sunrise audax on Saturday 16th Feb please note that the start and HQ is not at the Hartlebury cafe as this has just closed. Watch the Beacon RCC website for details of the new start etc.

Just had an email about the Beacon Audax' and the new HQ is Whitlenge Garden Centre, about 1 mile from Hartlebury station. There is limited parking for anyone going by car, you may need to use the station to park and ride in from there. There are also some small route changes to be aware of.

Paul Crook cannot make Saturdays Snowdrop Audax so does anyone want to take his entry? Ride leaves Whitlenge at 09.00am on 16th Feb.

You'll be disqualified from the Redditch ride Jack, 18mph average is the max allowed - by law!!

Doing the Snowdrop on Saturday.
Can't do Bromsgrove on the sunday.
Wolverhampton Wheelers have also got 3 rides on over the next 3 sundays to which might be worth a look.

Yep, I should be on for this as long as this chesty cough has gone. Its getting better, I definitely did the right thing keeping off the bike over the weekend. I am going to hop on the turbo tomorrow and see how it feels.

How did the Bromsgrove reliability go today?
It was a great day for it, my chest still isn't right so I thought a reliability race, sorry I mean trial, was not the best trick!

Fish Hill was brutal as ever, 'healthy' doses of through and off at a furious pace throughout and massive turns on the front into headwinds certainly pushed all involved and provided an excellent 'character building' environment!!
I managed to finish with the first group of about 6 or 7 riders which I was very pleased with considering i'd ridden the Snowdrop the day before. Last year I blew up magnificently 15 miles from home and had to crawl back so was pleased to see improvement.
Andy O wasn't too far behind and Dave B a little further back and good ride times posted by everyone.

Made a stupid beginners mistake of easing off to open an energy bar after about 18 miles and suddenly enough of a gap opened that I couldn't close! Nearly barfed with the effort of trying to chase back with a mouthful of oats lol! Quite annoyed as I was aiming to stay in the front group until Fish Hill but hey ho. Great final blast down the dual track, I knew I had a 11T sprocket for some reason, nice to put some oil on it ;D

I lasted with the fast group over all the lumpy stuff, but eventually got dropped with around 10 miles to go, I put a big effort in TT style to finish solo around 7 mins behind fast group. Pleased with the ride considering I have been off the bike for 3 weeks with illness. Jack was riding well !
