Just remembered that there's the Wolverhampton Wheelers "Wrekin Wrun" this Sunday too. I'm most likely going to ride this as the Mad March Hare is fully booked and I don't want to get all the way over there to discover you can't EOL. Details: www.wolverhamptonwheelers.co.uk/reliability_trials.html

but not ran done any of the club rides yet or training. Would like to do the Echelon ride but just done 103 miles today so see how I feel when I get up. Went to Leominster-Hereford-Malvern-Ledbury-Tewkesbury-Upton and back home to Littleworth You just nipped out, no training, and did 103 miles! I know how I'd feel tomorrow, absolutely knackered!!!!! That's impressive, I did a hilly 45 miles over Malvern today, I don't normally feel the cold too much, but I was freezing when I got back. Are you in Littleworth near junction 7 of the M5? I am in Peopleton, occasionally a few of us from the club of us head out from here, you'll have to join us when we next get together. I live near the ambulance station at the top of the London Road in Worcester by Jn7, so if there are ever any Worcester contingent rides going I'm up for it - even only hooking up to ride over and back to Stourport for the Saturday or Sunday rides. I may do the Wolv Whlrs Wrekin Wrun this week - Childhood memories of that one from when I used to live in Cannock. Forgot to enter the Mad March Hare. I'll answer the 'why Wyre Forest?' question too; I did a couple of reliabilities a couple of years ago and the Wyre Forest riders were by far the most chatty and friendly. Also, St Johns winter rides are either too late setting off &slow or too early (faster ride is 0700).

The southern division of WFCRC is getting stonger, thats good news for the club in general (and us in this area!). Interestingly, I have heard a few people say that the very early start to the Worcester fast club run puts them off joining the club.
There are a few of us in this area now:
I am in Peopleton. Andy Overton is on the southern edge of Droitwich. Justin and Lucy are in Littleworth.
There are cyclists I have got chatting to locally who are considering joining WFCRC and there are also a couple of ex-members in this area who I am sure we could tempt back if we started a few regular rides!

This is why I joined, it's just great. The forum is a real weapon in promoting, organising and communicating with members or potential members. Well I'm in for regular rides down this way, whether that means over to Stourport or locally. Lets get out and promote the club and get some miles in as well. We are fortunate that we have some great rides around us.
